KUDUS KEY TO HAMMERS ATTACK

A player to watch at London Stadium on Monday is Mohammed Kudus, who has seven goal involvements (6G, 1G) in 20 Premier League appearances this season, showing off his skills with a sensational acrobatic effort in a previous fixture at Gtech Community Stadium in November.

Currently, West Ham is ninth in the Premier League table but has experienced a slip back into the mid-table since the start of the year. Despite this, the first half of the season was the best the team has ever had in the Premier League. However, the dip in performance has led to a split in the fanbase, with some fans feeling like it’s a disaster while others believe it’s not as bad as it seems.

With eight games played in 2024, including the FA Cup, West Ham has yet to win any. This has put pressure on manager David Moyes to turn things around. Although there is pressure from some fans to improve the style of play, Moyes’ contract is up at the end of the season, which adds an extra layer of tension to the situation.

The Europa League could potentially save West Ham’s season, much like the Conference League did last season. Many are of the opinion that if Moyes hadn’t won the Conference League last season, he wouldn’t have remained as manager. A good run in Europe is possible, and if the draw is in their favor, it could make this season one of the best in history.
