Recent weeks have seen Vardy in top form, with five goals in his last five appearances making him City’s leading scorer this season. Unfortunately, Vardy will be absent from the Leicester City squad for the Leeds match after sustaining a muscle injury in training. It’s unclear how long he’ll be out, but it’s known to be a groin problem. With Vardy sidelined and Iheanacho still not in the squad, Tom Cannon is the sole striker on the bench for Maresca in the Leeds game. Patson Daka, who has scored three goals since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, will again lead the line. Additionally, Ben Nelson returns to the squad with Vardy out. For the game against Leeds, Maresca made just one change to the starting 11, bringing in Hamza Choudhury for Dennis Praet and pushing Ricardo Pereira into midfield.
