Over the weekend, former Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell suffered some severe injuries while playing for AGF in Denmark. The 27-year-old, who came up through the Leeds academy, is currently on loan from Burnley and was previously on loan with Wednesday.
During a 1-1 draw with Odense Boldklub, Peacock-Farrell had to leave the game after sustaining some nasty injuries, including a broken nose and a large cut on his head. Taking to Instagram, he shared that he had received stitches and thanked everyone for their supportive messages.
Despite his success on the international stage with Northern Ireland, Peacock-Farrell has faced challenges at the club level since leaving Leeds for Burnley in 2019. He spent the 2021/22 season as the main goalkeeper for Wednesday but has struggled to find consistent playing time at Burnley.
Last summer, instead of staying in England, Peacock-Farrell opted to try his luck abroad with AGF in Denmark. He has spoken positively about his experience so far, expressing excitement about the different style of football in Europe compared to English leagues.
