Report: Spurs prepared to spend as much as necessary to sign a 24-year-old defender.

Reports from Fanaticos suggest that Tottenham Hotspur, alongside other Premier League clubs including Fulham, Manchester United, and West Ham, are interested in signing Sebastian Caceres from Club America in January. Tottenham’s need for a center-back is widely known, and they have been prioritizing strengthening that area in the upcoming transfer window.

Tottenham’s interest in Caceres became known after his impressive performance for Uruguay against Brazil during the international break. Record previously named Tottenham and Sevilla as the two clubs eyeing the player, with Club America reluctantly preparing for his departure.

Fanaticos now reports that Tottenham is not the only Premier League club interested in the 24-year-old. Fulham, Manchester United, and West Ham also have the defender on their radar. All of these clubs are reportedly willing to meet Club America’s asking price for Caceres when the transfer window opens.

According to sources close to Club America, the Mexican club has set a minimum asking price of $5 million (£4.1 million) for Caceres. Given the low asking price, it presents a relatively low-risk opportunity for clubs like Tottenham to take a gamble on the Uruguayan’s abilities in the Premier League.
