DONE DEAL- Fabrizio Romano Confirmed, Former £25m Everton winger set to jet out to complete Brazil move after work permit agreed

Yannick Bolasie’s time at Everton did not live up to the expectations set when he made a £25 million move from Crystal Palace. After unsuccessful loan spells at various clubs, he eventually left Caykur Rizespor for Swansea, only to be released shortly after.

Now, the former Everton winger is on the verge of a new challenge in a non-European league. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Bolasie is close to signing a pre-contract with Brazilian club Criciuma, having recently obtained his work permit. He is expected to travel to Brazil this weekend to finalize the move.

This move marks an interesting transition for a player who was once seen as a rising star in the Premier League. Unfortunately, his time at Everton did not pan out as expected. The constant loan moves seemed to dampen his career trajectory, and a move to Brazil only solidifies this notion. It wouldn’t be surprising if Bolasie decides to hang up his boots in the near future.

Despite the ups and downs, Bolasie still looks back on his time at Everton fondly, particularly praising Seamus Coleman’s abilities. In a recent podcast appearance, Bolasie commended Coleman for his speed and strength, acknowledging the battles they had on the field. It seems that, despite the disappointments, there were still bright moments during his time in the Premier League.
