Tottenham furious by shocking treatment of 20-year-old loanee

Tottenham Hotspur is focusing on their current players, but they haven’t forgotten about those out on loan.

Despite facing protests from fans for years, chairman Daniel Levy has made some excellent decisions recently. Ange Postecoglou’s appointment has been a success, as have the additions of Johan Lange and Scott Munn.

However, one loan move in January has not gone as planned, leaving Spurs dissatisfied.

Eight players including Tanguy Ndombele and Sergio Reguilon were loaned out for regular game time. While some have thrived, others like Alejo Veliz have struggled.

Veliz’s move to Sevilla has been a disaster, playing only 23 minutes since joining due to injury. Sevilla’s handling of the situation has angered Tottenham, who feel promises have not been fulfilled.

There was initial excitement in Sevilla over Veliz’s loan, but the lack of playing time has been disappointing. Criticism has been directed at Sevilla’s director of football for signing Veliz without a permanent option.

Tottenham are rightfully upset with Sevilla’s handling of Veliz, but the Argentine can only continue to work hard and hope for opportunities in the future.
