SAD NEWS: Catastrophe strikes as Daniel Farke reveals Leeds star will be sidelined for a whopping TWO WHOLE WEEKS

Daniel Farke has shared an update on the injury status of his team before Leeds United’s upcoming match against Coventry City. During the Easter period, Leeds had to play without several key players who were injured or away on international duty.

In addition to long-term absentees Stuart Dallas and Pascal Struijk, Ilia Gruev, Willy Gnonto, and Connor Roberts were also missing in the last two matches. Despite the four-day break between games, there hasn’t been much improvement on the injury front.

Farke has not ruled out Gruev’s return but he has yet to return to training. Roberts and Gnonto are also targeting a return for the Middlesbrough game later this month.

Unfortunately, Jamie Shackleton, who came on as a substitute in the last game, reported an injury the day after the match and will be out for at least two weeks due to issues with his adductors.

It seems that Shackleton’s season may be over due to his injury and the fact that his contract is expiring. With Gruev and Roberts expected to return soon, his chances of playing again this season are slim.

Overall, it has been a tough season for Shackleton with injuries preventing him from making a significant impact for Leeds.
