The Boston Celtics dominated the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday evening with Jaylen Brown leading the charge once again.
Brown put up an impressive 26 points in the 127-107 victory, reaching his 10,000th career point milestone in the process.
In a post-game interview with Celtics on CLNS and the media, Brown expressed his gratitude towards the fans who have supported him since day one.
He stated, “For all the loyal JB fans who have been with me from the beginning, I feel your love and I always strive to give that love right back. The support from the Boston community has been incredible and it only motivates me to keep improving.”
Brown has been a standout player for the Celtics this season, averaging 23.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
After signing a lucrative contract extension last summer, expectations were high for Brown and he has certainly lived up to them.
As the playoffs approach, the Celtics hold the best record in the NBA and anything less than a successful postseason run would be considered a letdown.
Although Brown has already achieved the impressive feat of scoring 10,000 points, he shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to push himself and his team to reach new heights.
