Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers explodes with anger over shocking demands made by his board finally exposed

According to sources close to the club, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly unhappy with the quality of signings and the size of the transfer budget he has been given so far. It is said that he is feeling “furious” about the transfer business conducted since his return to the club last July.

The Hoops spent over £19million in the summer of 2023, acquiring eight permanent signings and two loanees. However, some of these acquisitions have not lived up to expectations, with defender duo Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke struggling to make an impact in the Scottish Premiership.

Rodgers is now said to be demanding full backing from the board in the upcoming summer transfer window, feeling that there was inadequate spending in the previous windows. With Celtic in a healthy financial position, having recorded a significant profit in the previous campaign, Rodgers believes the club should be investing in big-money deals to strengthen the squad.

Despite initially leading the race for the Scottish Premiership title, Celtic’s position at the top is now under threat from rivals Rangers. Rodgers is determined to secure the necessary reinforcements to push for success and reclaim their place as the dominant force in Scottish football.
