Kris Boyd slams “hopelessly incompetent” Dundee and demands merciless punishment from the SPFL

Kris Boyd has no sympathy for Dundee after Rangers’ match at Dens Park was postponed for the second time. Despite having the opportunity to overtake Celtic at the top of the table, the game was called off due to the pitch being deemed unplayable for the fifth time this season.

Boyd, a Sky pundit who was set to cover the match on TV, believes Dundee should have addressed their pitch and stadium issues long before now. He criticized the club for prioritizing player recruitment over pitch maintenance, leading to the ongoing problems. Boyd also expressed frustration at the wasted resources and inconvenience caused to both Rangers and the broadcasters.

He sympathizes with the supporters who have been left in limbo and feels that Dundee should face consequences for their negligence. While he does not support points deductions, he believes the SPFL should consider imposing a fine. Boyd questions the club’s decision-making and their lack of accountability in the situation.

Overall, Boyd is disappointed in how Dundee have handled the situation and hopes that the SPFL will take appropriate action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
