ANNOUNCEMENT: Big Statement on Proposed Price Rises

The lack of fan consultation on ticket prices and physical card charges for the upcoming season is disheartening. While we understand the club may be facing increased costs, it is important to recognize the rising cost of living for supporters and their loyalty, especially after a relegation.

With inflation currently at 3.2%, the decision to charge £25 for a physical season ticket seems unjustifiable based on production costs alone. The majority of season ticket holders have shown a preference for physical tickets over digital ones, and the issues with the digital ticket system only further emphasize the importance of offering choices to fans without penalizing them financially.

The Trust has raised concerns about digital exclusion for those without smartphones, the elderly, and disabled fans, and we will seek clarification from the club on how they plan to address these issues. While the club has stated that exceptions can be made for certain groups, it does not fully address the underlying problem.

We are currently in discussions with other supporters’ groups and will be consulting our members this week on the price increases and physical card charges. We will present our findings to the club before the end of the season to ensure that supporters’ voices are heard and their concerns addressed.
