OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED- Leicester City important player returns from EFL loan spell after promotion

Leicester City’s Lewis Brunt has completed his loan period at Mansfield Town on a high note, according to the Stags’ official website. The 23-year-old defender, originally from Birmingham, played a pivotal role in helping Mansfield secure promotion from League Two during his time at Field Mill, where he made 40 appearances and netted two goals.

As Brunt makes his return to Leicester City, the future of his career with the club is uncertain, especially with the team now competing in the Premier League. Having started his professional journey at Aston Villa before joining Leicester, the defender’s contract is set to run until 2025.

Mansfield Town has yet to confirm if they will entertain the idea of having Brunt back for another loan spell, despite his successful performance with the team. With decisions still being made about the Stags’ squad, the defender’s fate remains undecided.
