Leicester City ready to sign Talented striker January

Enzo Maresca’s Foxes are on the lookout for reinforcements as the January transfer window approaches, with Villarreal forward Ben Brereton-Diaz reportedly on their radar.

The 24-year-old has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup since joining Villarreal, and it is believed that he may be available for loan in January. Leicester City is said to be monitoring his situation, but they are not the only ones interested. Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Burnley, as well as Championship rivals Southampton and West Bromwich Albion, are also keeping an eye on the former Blackburn Rovers striker.

Brereton-Diaz, a Chile international, has made eight league appearances for Villarreal this season, mainly as a substitute, and has yet to score a goal. His potential availability has sparked interest from multiple clubs as the January transfer window looms.

After an impressive five-year spell at Blackburn Rovers, where he scored 47 goals in 177 appearances, Brereton-Diaz made the move to Spain on a free transfer. Now, it seems that he could be on the move again in search of regular game time.

As Leicester City looks to solidify their position at the top of the Championship table and secure promotion back to the Premier League, the potential addition of Brereton-Diaz could play a significant role in their January transfer window plans.
