Tottenham player to replace Leicester midfielder if he decides to leave January

Leicester City may face a challenge in retaining midfielder Wilfred Ndidi this January. The 26-year-old, who was strongly linked to other clubs, unexpectedly continued at Leicester after their relegation to the Championship. With his contract nearing its end, Leicester might struggle to hold onto him beyond not only this season but also January.

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Ndidi. If a deal were to happen, Leicester could consider seeking a swap for Tottenham’s Oliver Skipp. Skipp, who progressed through Tottenham’s academy, has made 90 first-team appearances. Although he faced limited game time recently, his potential transfer could be beneficial for Leicester.

Skipp’s performance in the Championship, particularly in passing, shooting, key passes, and defensive duties, suggests that he could be a valuable addition to Leicester. While some fans might be unsure about this potential trade, it could ultimately prove to be a smart move for the club.
