DONE DEAL: Coventry City ‘snag’ mind-blowing deal for Brazilian-Australian superstar following jaw-dropping A-League domination

Coventry City is believed to have secured a promising young talent from the Australian A-League in the form of Raphael Borges Rodrigues. Reports suggest that the 20-year-old winger has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Championship club and will soon be making the move to the UK. His current club, Macarthur FC, has reportedly accepted an undisclosed fee for his transfer.

With his potential to excel in English football’s second tier, Rodrigues has caught the eye of Coventry City manager Mark Robins. The son of former Adelaide United striker Cristiano dos Santos Rodrigues, he impressed during his time at Macarthur, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

Having benefited from mentorship under Mile Sterjovski at Macarthur, Rodrigues’ development has accelerated since his debut at Melbourne City. Despite interest from other clubs in England and Scotland, he has chosen to join Coventry City in the Midlands. His agent, former Melbourne Victory star Fahid Ben Khalfallah, has remained tight-lipped about the deal when questioned by FTBL.
