West Bromwich Albion is reportedly determined to retain the services of forward Tom Fellows as interest in the young player continues to grow. Fellows, who came up through Albion’s academy, made his senior debut in December 2021 and spent last season on loan at Crawley Town. Now, as he starts to establish himself in the squad under Carlos Corberan, the club is eager to secure him to a new contract as his current deal nears its end.
According to the Daily Mail, Championship rivals Leicester City and Southampton have shown interest in Fellows, but Albion is making an effort to keep the talented academy graduate in their ranks, especially with new ownership on the horizon. In a recent match against Southampton, Fellows had the chance to showcase his skills when he entered the game late in the second half, proving that he is eager for more playing time and determined to make his mark at the senior level.
Fellows has expressed his own determination to succeed, stating, “I know when I come on I have to prove myself at this level, whether that’s five minutes, ten minutes or however long I get. The better I do, the likelihood is the longer I’ll get. We’ve got a few injuries which have meant I’ve got the opportunity, but it’s down to me to take it.”
