BREAKING NEWS: Major boost for Urawa Red Diamonds as Celtic fail to secure Kyogo transfer, leaving the Japanese club poised for a blockbuster summer swoop.

Celtic has not received an official offer from Urawa Red Diamonds for Kyogo, according to sources at Football Scotland.

The 29-year-old forward is rumored to be considering a return to his native Japan, with Celtic in a strong position to demand a significant transfer fee. Urawa Red Diamonds, one of the wealthiest clubs in Japan, have reportedly identified Kyogo as their top target for the striker position. The current record fee in Japan stands at £10 million, but URD may need to exceed this amount to secure Kyogo’s services.

With three years remaining on his contract at Celtic Park, the Scottish club holds the upper hand in negotiations, knowing they can keep hold of their star player if their asking price is not met.

Although discussions have taken place between Urawa Red Diamonds and Celtic in the past, no concrete offer has been made for Kyogo, who has scored a remarkable 75 goals during his time in Glasgow.

Despite a previously agreed deal for Giorgos Giakoumakis falling through in 2023, the two clubs maintain a positive relationship, indicating that negotiations for Kyogo could still be on the horizon.
