Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna threatens to deal a devastating blow to Leeds United – Journalist reports

Leeds United is eyeing Joe Rodon for a permanent transfer from Tottenham this summer, but his standout performances suggest he may have a shot in the Premier League, particularly with Ipswich Town.

Under Daniel Farke, Norwich City will be aiming for a second promotion bid next season after falling short with a 90-point total last year. Ipswich Town and Leicester City finished above Leeds, while Southampton clinched promotion through the playoffs.

Leeds made a significant signing with Welsh international Joe Rodon on a season-long loan from Tottenham. The towering defender impressed fans with his passionate and confident defensive skills, as well as his composure on the ball.

Despite missing out on promotion, Leeds are expected to pursue Rodon this summer as he has only one year left on his contract with Tottenham and unlikely to get a chance under Ange Postecoglou.

Ipswich Town may require several key additions to compete in the Premier League, and Rodon could be one of them. Alasdair Gold, a journalist with Football.london, indicated that Kieran McKenna, an Ipswich coach, is a fan of Rodon and could pursue him.

While many would support Rodon’s move to Ipswich for regular top-flight football, Leeds fans may find it hard to see him playing for the rival team that edged them out of promotion.

Rodon fits the profile of what Ipswich is looking for in a centre-back and could be a cost-effective option for the club. Unfortunately, Leeds may struggle to compete with Premier League clubs for his signature.
