Leeds sent West Ham a cheeky message ahead of ‘imminent’ bid for playmaker

Leeds and West Ham are both heavily invested in the use of social media to send messages about their transfer plans and potential signings.

The two Premier League clubs have been the subject of intense speculation in recent days, with West Ham reportedly eyeing an ‘imminent’ bid for Leeds star Wilfried Gnonto, and Leeds boss Daniel Farke actively seeking to bolster his defence.

Rumors of West Ham’s interest in Gnonto have been circulating for some time, with the club said to be looking for a new forward. Despite limited appearances this season, Leeds fans are keen to keep Gnonto as the team chases promotion back to the Premier League.

With reports of an impending bid from West Ham, Leeds may have sent a cheeky message on social media, posting a picture of Gnonto smiling in training along with the caption: “Willy working hard!”

This tactic is not new for Leeds, who previously used social media to indirectly convey their stance on transfer rumors involving Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.

The question remains whether Leeds would be willing to sell Gnonto to West Ham. If the London club does make a move for the Italian international, they may well remember the post from Leeds and respond in kind.
