‘OUTRAGEOUS DEVELOPMENT’ Pundits baffled after what the Premier League are doing to Everton now

Everton is still awaiting the Premier League’s independent commission to make a ruling on their current appeal, a process that has been drawn out much like the 777 Partners’ takeover. The decision makers seem unconcerned and in no hurry to announce a verdict that could have serious consequences for the institution’s long-term security.

The way Everton, one of the original teams in both the first division and the Premier League, has been treated is disgraceful. Pundits Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle expressed their frustration on their podcast, The 2 Robbies, criticizing the lack of decisiveness and the relegation of football behind off-pitch issues.

Earle questioned the delay, stating that the Premier League needs to make a decision and give Everton a chance, rather than leaving them in limbo. Mustoe also urged the Premier League to speed up the process.

Despite being told to expect a decision by mid-February, then after a game with Crystal Palace, and finally before the end of February, there is still no official ruling. With over three weeks since the trial concluded, the hold-up is causing frustration and uncertainty for Everton and others involved in the relegation fight.

The Premier League’s actions are dangerous and disorderly, and are negatively impacting the teams in the relegation battle.
