Daniel Farke drops bombshell injury update on crucial Leeds United pair, as Georginio Rutter situation takes a turn for the worse.

Daniel Farke is feeling positive about the prospects of Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray being able to play in Leeds United’s upcoming games following the international break. As the Championship leaders enter the final stretch of the 2023/24 season, Farke is concerned about the availability of key players due to late-season injuries.

In the last game before the break against Millwall, both Summerville and Gray suffered knocks. Summerville had to be substituted due to a knock, while Gray continued playing despite bruising and pain in his ankle. The match saw multiple yellow cards handed out, with Leeds receiving three of them.

Farke is hopeful that both players will be fit for the first game back against Watford. Gray, who made his debut for England’s under-21 team during the break, seems to be recovering well. Summerville’s injury is being cautiously monitored, but Farke remains optimistic about his return to the pitch.

In addition to the injuries, Leeds also have doubts about Georginio Rutter after his hernia surgery. Despite having to play away at Watford, the team is in good spirits as their opponents are struggling under interim manager Tom Cleverly.

While promotion rivals Leicester City and Ipswich Town also have away fixtures, Leeds currently hold the top spot in the Championship and are eager to maintain their position in the race for promotion to the Premier League.
