“Chelsea are in the FA Cup Final after beating Leeds last week, in a game they had to win and they did so under Calum McFarlane, but I still have big question marks over them,” Shearer said.
“I don’t see Forest going there and giving up easily, so again, I think it could be another draw. Prediction – Draw.”
Shearer’s assessment reflects a wider feeling around Chelsea at the moment: capable of moments of quality, but lacking the consistency and cutting edge needed to climb the table.
In contrast, Forest will see this as an opportunity to exploit Chelsea’s fragility, especially given their struggles in front of goal. A disciplined away performance could frustrate the home crowd and extend Chelsea’s winless league run even further.
