Unai Emery’s future at Aston Villa is suddenly under the microscope after a worrying dip in form and growing behind-the-scenes speculation has raised serious questions about whether the Spaniard will stay beyond this season.

“I am starting to have doubts about whether Emery will stay,” Brown said.
“Seeing the game against Tottenham left me with a very strange feeling. Villa didn’t show up.
“I thought Emery’s attitude on the bench was highly questionable. He looked like he didn’t want to be there, not his usual energetic self.
“Now there might be other reasons, but to me it looked like he was fed up.”
Those comments have only amplified concerns that the Villa boss could be weighing up his long-term future, particularly if tensions around recruitment and club direction continue to build.

Reports suggest Emery remains eager to strengthen his squad in the summer window, but uncertainty over Villa’s financial flexibility could become a major sticking point.
