Ipswich Town have confirmed a significant decision regarding Cameron Humphreys’ future, activating a one-year extension clause in the midfielder’s contract following his loan spell at Huddersfield Town.

The 22-year-old was approaching the end of his existing deal at Portman Road, but the club have now moved to secure his services for at least another season as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

However, the extension does not necessarily guarantee that Humphreys will remain part of Kieran McKenna’s plans next season.

Humphreys spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Huddersfield Town after finding first-team opportunities limited during the opening months of the season.
