Kicking Off Camp in Quebec City
Preparations for the upcoming campaign will officially get underway with Media Day on Monday, September 28. Following league media obligations, the team will travel to Quebec City to open training camp at the Université Laval PEPS athletic complex.
For the organization, the choice was an easy one. The club previously utilized the exact same top-tier facilities during their memorable 2019 training camp run.
“We have great memories of our 2019 training camp in Quebec City, and the opportunity to spend time in such a historic city, combined with the outstanding facilities at Université Laval, made returning an easy decision,” said Raptors General Manager and Executive Vice President Bobby Webster.
Adding to the excitement for local supporters, the organization is actively planning an open practice during camp week, with full scheduling details set to be unveiled in August.
A Packed Five-Game Preseason Slate
The Raptors are scheduled to play five exhibition matches ahead of the regular season, featuring a heavy emphasis on connecting with fans across the country through the NBA Canada Series.
- Game 1 (October 3): The action kicks off with an official NBA Canada matchup against the Miami Heat at the Videotron Centre right in Quebec City.
- Game 2: The team will then head west for a matinee showdown against the LA Clippers in Vancouver—a location that has quickly transformed into a reliable home away from home for the franchise.
- Game 3 (October 13): Returning back home to the east, the Raptors host the New York Knicks for a 7:00 PM clash in Toronto, marking their final exhibition game played on home soil.
- Game 4 (October 15): The cross-conference rivalry continues immediately after as Toronto travels down to face the Knicks once again, this time under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden.
- Game 5 (October 16): The preseason schedule wraps up with a short trip to Motor City for a final tune-up against the Detroit Pistons.
