Leeds United appear to be closing in on another significant addition as Daniel Farke continues to reshape his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Whites have reportedly made major progress in their pursuit of Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi, with the experienced Switzerland international said to have reached an agreement on personal terms with Leeds.

The proposed deal would see the 29-year-old commit his future to Elland Road until 2029, leaving the two clubs to negotiate what could be the final major hurdle before the transfer can be completed.

For Leeds supporters, this could prove to be another important development in what has already been an extremely busy summer.

Leeds identify Nico Elvedi as defensive priority

Farke has already overseen significant changes to his squad since Leeds returned to the Premier League.
