DEAL IN PROGRESS: Leeds United set to make a record signing of 28-year-old fantastic player

28-year-old Premier League player would like to join Leeds United this month.

Leeds United are off to a slow start in the January transfer window. They’ve only made two significant moves so far, both involving existing loans. Djed Spence’s loan from Tottenham Hotspur was unexpectedly cut short, while Sonny Perkins was recalled from Oxford United earlier than planned. Perkins is no longer part of the team’s plans, but Spence’s departure has left them short at right-back.

There’s talk of Burnley’s Connor Roberts potentially joining Leeds, with reports suggesting he would welcome the move. However, it’s also been stated that there’s nothing imminent regarding a deal for Roberts. Burnley would only be willing to part with the 28-year-old if they find a replacement, and Brazilian Vitinho is their only other right-back option.

It seems that Leeds will have to be patient in their pursuit for new players this month, as it’s always challenging to make deals in January. If Roberts does make the move, he would be a strong replacement for Spence, given his existing relationship with Rodon and his experience at this level of football.
