TOP TRANSFER TARGET CONFIRMED: West Ham set to seal deal with top striker who Arsenal legend Thierry Henry described as “brilliant”

As reported by The Telegraph on Wednesday (21 February), West Ham is setting their sights on Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke as a top target for the upcoming summer transfer window. The English striker has caught the attention of the club and is being considered as a solution to their ongoing need for a new striker.

It is widely acknowledged that West Ham has a pressing need for a new striker, a need that was evident in the January transfer window. Despite past discussions, the club now has an opportunity to address this need by pursuing Solanke.

In addition to benefiting the team on the field, signing Solanke would also help fulfill the homegrown player quota. However, West Ham may face competition from other Premier League clubs in their pursuit of the talented striker.

Although Solanke has not consistently scored in the Premier League, he has shown his goal-scoring ability this season with 14 goals in 24 appearances. This has earned him praise from notable figures in the football world, including Thierry Henry and Darren Bent.

Thierry Henry, former Arsenal and France striker, spoke highly of Solanke in December, expressing his admiration for the striker’s recent form.

Solanke’s performance against West Ham this season has also caught the attention of the club, further emphasizing his potential impact if he were to join the team for the 2024/25 season.
