Newcastle United’s interim captain Dan Burn has praised Alexander Isak as the “ultimate striker” following his recent performances that have propelled the Magpies back into the European conversation.
Isak now has three goals in two games and a total of 19 for the season after a spectacular goal against Everton. With two successful penalties against West Ham, the £63million man has set his sights on Fulham next.
Speaking to Premier League productions, Burn expressed his admiration for Isak, stating, “There’s no one better than Alex. He’s a complete striker – with all the skills needed to be a game-changer for us.”
Burn humorously mentioned that Isak’s offside positioning cost him a potential second goal against Everton and jokingly added that Isak owes him one for it.
As Newcastle prepares for their upcoming game against Fulham, currently sitting in eighth place and right behind West Ham, Burn acknowledges the challenges of the season but remains optimistic about their chances in the European race, emphasizing the importance of momentum in achieving their goals.
