Coventry City devastated by double injury setback ahead of crucial Clash with Leeds United in the Championship

As Coventry City prepares to host Leeds United at the CBS Arena on Saturday afternoon, they will be missing key players, Matty Godden and Jamie Allen. While Leeds are fighting for promotion back to the Premier League, Coventry is also determined to secure a place in the play-offs.

Currently just four points behind the play-off spots in the Championship, Coventry is eager to keep up the pressure on Norwich City as they aim for a second consecutive top-six finish. However, they will have to face Leeds without Godden, who is sidelined with a calf injury.

Despite manager Mark Robins’ initial hopes that Godden would recover in time for the match, the 32-year-old forward has been ruled out after sustaining the injury in the previous game against Cardiff City. Similarly, Allen won’t be available due to a minor setback in his return from a cheekbone fracture.

With important fixtures on the horizon, including an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United, Coventry will need to dig deep to continue their push for success in both competitions.
