Tottenham Hotspur’s summer rebuild has officially kicked into overdrive. In a series of stunning transfer developments, Roberto De Zerbi’s side has aggressively burst into the race to sign Newcastle United’s powerhouse midfielder Sandro Tonali, while simultaneously closing in on a second blockbuster signing to completely transform the club’s engine room.

In an even bigger twist for rival fanbases, Tottenham isn’t stopping at Tonali. According to reports from Matteo Moretto, Spurs are “very close to reaching an agreement” over personal terms with West Ham United’s breakout star, Mateus Fernandes.
While Old Trafford was widely considered to be Fernandes’ preferred landing spot, the Portuguese midfielder is reportedly highly intrigued by De Zerbi’s project. Once personal terms are fully finalized, Spurs are prepared to launch official negotiations with West Ham for a package expected to sit around £80–85 million.
